Computer Society India (CSI)

Computer Society of India (CSI) is the first and largest body of computer professionals in India. It was started on 6 March 1965 by a few computer professionals and has now grown to be the national body representing computer professionals. It has 72 chapters across India, 511 student branches, and 100,000 members.

The Computer Society of India (CSI) College Chapter of St. Thomas College of Engineering and Technology, Chengannur established in April 2013 (Membership ID - I01870) and Student chapter started in the year 2020. It is an active student organization which organizes technical activities including workshops, technical symposiums, Tech Talks etc. for its student members. Under the guidance of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the student chapter has over 80 members, and is run by a STC-CSI Student Council, and faculty from the department.
