The Department of Civil Engineering was established way back in 2010 and has been continuing its glorious journey ever since. The Department takes immense pleasure in delivering technically proficient and ethically responsible engineers to the society and promises to produce more for improving the living standards of our nation. The department has a well established mentoring system which provides individual attention to students and this enhances good academic results in past examinations with university toppers including university first ranks.
Targeting the creation of best designers of the world’s infrastructure, we mould our gems with the skills of proper attitude and enthusiasm for the subject and provide a lifestyle harmonious with the environment. There are opportunities galore for civil engineers, with new players entering the market and more large-scale developments announced around the globe. The four-year B. Tech program of the Department is dedicated to delivering technically proficient and ethically responsible engineers to the society.
To create civil engineers who contributes to the society and industry through technical and ethical empowerment.
Provide Conducive Teaching Learning Environment that encourages continuous Improvement.
Encourage our Faculty and Students to participate in Industry – Academia events and Interactions.
Promote Socio - Environmental Engagement with Internal and External Stakeholders.
To formulate, analyse and solve real world engineering problems by applying engineering fundamentals engineering problems.
To exhibit leadership skills, empathy, communication and presentation skills in Work and Society.
Continuously Improve Professional, leadership and Communication Skills required for the advancement of career.
Solve problems in construction, structural, project management, hydraulics, geotechnical, transportation and environmental disciplines of civil engineering. [PSO1]
Ability to effectively understand and implement the civil engineering skills, construction methodology, project management and software skills. [PSO2]
Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems. [PO1]
Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences. [PO2]
Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations. [PO3]
Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions. [PO4]
Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations. [PO5]
Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice. [PO6]
Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development. [PO7]
Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice. [PO8]
Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings. [PO9]
Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions. [PO10]
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments. [PO11]
Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change. [PO12]
