The Grievance Redressal Cell was formed to address the student grievances. The Cell enables a student to express feelings by initiating and pursuing the grievance procedure in accordance with the rules and regulations of the College. This ensures a fair, impartial and consistent way for redressal of various issues faced by the stakeholders. Any stakeholder of St Thomas College of Engineering with a genuine grievance may approach Grievance Redressal Cell.
A grievance means a feeling of resentment over something believed to be wrong related with the functioning of the institution that is unfair or unjust. A committee among faculty is constituted by the principal in consultation with HODs and with the consent of Chairman, governing body for a period of one year. The Grievance Redressal Cell consists of a senior professor as coordinator and four members. The committee always maintains the confidentiality of information throughout the process.

There is an exclusive forum for women to address issues relating to women and their grievances. Woman’s redressal Cell of the institute deals with the cases of sexual harassment against girl students or lady staff members at the workplace.

The Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Other backward Caste Grievance Redressal Cell in the Institution is constituted to ensure the continued welfare of the reserved category. The cell acts as a redressal forum for the students and employees belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category to reach out in case of any grievances that they may face.
